Shock Absorber Installation Tool Set
● This new and innovative tool is a genuine problem
solver for the dismantling and assembly of shock
absorbers with tension stop springs.
● Function of the tension stop springs:
- The tension stop springs ensure that the shock absorber cannot
be damaged, when stretching right up to the end stop.
- The spring is located directly within the shock absorber and is
not active when in neutral gear and in the pressure stage.
- It only comes into effect at the end of the damper
passage during the rebound stroke.
● Removal procedure:
- Strut completely removed-Dust boot or
bump stop lifted-Piston rod degreased
- Add clamping piece and secure in place
● Advantage:
- Piston rod only remains in this position during
the clamping process and is not retracted.
